1. Introduction

Fastn ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Fastn MCP Gateway for Slack ("Service").

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you install the Service, we collect your Slack workspace ID, user ID, and team name to enable the integration.

OAuth Tokens: We securely store OAuth tokens provided by Slack and connected third-party services (Gmail, Google Docs, Jira, etc.) to authenticate API requests on your behalf.

Configuration Data: We store your Fastn workspace ID, gateway ID, API keys, and LLM provider preferences to maintain your integration settings.

Usage Data: We track tool call counts per workspace to enforce usage limits. This includes the tool name, timestamp, and associated workspace/user IDs.

Conversation History: We temporarily store conversation messages (up to the last 20 messages per user) to maintain context within chat sessions. This data can be cleared at any time using the "reset" command.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not read or store the content of your emails, documents, or files unless you explicitly request the AI to access them during a conversation
We do not collect payment or credit card information
We do not track your browsing activity outside of the Service
We do not sell your personal data to third parties

4. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the Service
To authenticate your requests to connected third-party services
To enforce usage limits and workspace configurations
To process your natural language requests through AI models
To improve the Service and fix issues

5. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party applications and AI providers:

AI Providers: Your messages are sent to Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI for processing, depending on your configuration. These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.

Connected Tools: When you connect services like Gmail, Google Docs, or Jira, data is exchanged with these services according to their respective privacy policies. We only access the data necessary to fulfill your requests.

Slack: The Service operates within Slack's platform and is subject to Slack's API Terms of Service and privacy practices.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase with row-level security policies. OAuth tokens and API keys are stored encrypted. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

7. Data Retention

Configuration data is retained while the Service is installed in your workspace
Conversation history is limited to the last 20 messages and can be cleared anytime via the "reset" command
Usage data is retained for billing and analytics purposes
OAuth tokens are deleted when you uninstall the Service or disconnect a third-party integration

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Clear your conversation history at any time using the "reset" command
Reconfigure or disconnect your Fastn integration at any time
Uninstall the Service from your Slack workspace, which removes your stored data
Request a copy of your stored data by contacting us
Request deletion of your data by contacting us

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the Service or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
